This page explains what happens to your data when you use the web converter on this site and the Claude to PDF, Word and Google Docs browser extension.

Web converter

  • You paste a public Claude share link. The converter only accepts https://claude.ai/share/… links.
  • Our conversion service loads that public page in a headless browser, extracts the conversation, and sends print-ready HTML back to your browser.
  • The PDF is created by your own browser's print dialog. We don't store the conversation, the link or the generated file, and we don't keep logs of them.

Browser extension

  • The extension runs on claude.ai and reads the conversation, response, selected messages or artifact you choose when you click an export button.
  • Markdown files are created in your browser and saved to your downloads.
  • PDF, Word and Google Docs exports: the extension sends the content you're exporting to our conversion service, which returns the finished file. The service doesn't store your content or keep logs of it. PDF and Word files are then saved to your downloads.
  • Google Docs export asks for Google permission limited to files the extension creates, then uploads the converted document to your Google Drive and opens it.
  • Email address and plans: the extension reads the email address of the Google account signed in to your browser. It uses it to count exports against the free plan's monthly limit and to check paid licenses, and to send a welcome email when you start using the extension. It isn't used for marketing or product-update emails.
  • Usage events: the extension records events such as which format you exported, whether the export succeeded, and counts of elements like tables or equations, together with your email address. These events don't include the text of your conversations.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It doesn't carry advertising, and we don't sell personal data. If you use a browser extension or setting that blocks analytics, the site works exactly the same.
